Loving this poem by John Donne written about 1610. Actually was assigned for reading in my English class. 

How often do we plea to God to batter our hearts to release the knot that ties us to evil?

Love this promise of God being faithful and giving us a way of escape!

Dear Lord, let me have the heart and boldness of Isaiah to go where You send me, and to follow Your commands. That is my desire, I long for a closer walk with You and to live each day for Your glory!

Song pretty much speaks for itself. What in your life tries to take control of you and steer you away from God? Today what will you tell that it does not own you?

Fill in the "X" and give up those things that are trying to destroy you and keep you from serving Christ.

     But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,  keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt;  save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Lord, give me the desire to snatch others from the burning fires and be a light for them so that they too may see Your love and mercy.
